Non NHS Services are not funded by the NHS
Whilst we will always attempt to assist you with the completion of these requests, GPs do not have to carry out non-NHS work on behalf of their patients, and these services are NOT funded by the NHS. As with most GP Practices, a fee will therefore be charged to cover the costs.

Freedom of Information
Information about the General Practioners and the practice required for disclosure under this act can be made available to the public. All requests for such information should be made to the practice manager.
Confidentiality
As part of the employment contract our staff are bound by a confidentiality agreement and any patient information given will be held in strict confidence. You can request to speak privately to one of the Team at reception if you wish to do so.
Self Referrals to other Specialists
Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to. Some services may not be available in your area.
Contraceptive Pill Reviews
The Practice reviews your pill every 12 months in order to continue prescribing it for you. If you would prefer to see a nurse or doctor then please book an appointment.
Run out or just about to run out of medication requests
Unfortunately a small minority of patients are repeatedly running out (or just about to run out) of their medication. ‘Urgent’ requests of this nature cause a great deal of disruption to the smooth running of the practice. Urgent cases will always be seen on the same day.
Infectious Disease
If you have a suspected infectious disease, please inform reception if you suspect an infectious disease, as this will enable us to deal with it appropriately during your visit to protect you, other patients and staff.
Telephone Advice
If you wish to speak to a doctor on the telephone, you need to ring between 09.30 and 11.00, you will be asked to leave your name, details, contact number and a brief explanation of your problem. The doctor will then return your call as soon as possible. Please remember that the doctor has a […]
